Kashmir: Policeman martyred, 3 terrorists killed in Srinagar encounter

Asif Suhaf, Srinagar: In the ongoing encounter in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar, the security forces have killed 3 terrorists. 

Earlier, the terrorists had attacked the police and CRPF blockade. An ASI was killed in a terrorist attack. After the attack, a search operation was conducted in which 3 terrorists were killed.

In fact, the terrorists attacked the joint block of police and CRPF on Saturday night in Panthachowk, Srinagar. Three terrorists, who came riding on a motorcycle, opened fire and fled from the spot. After the attack, additional troops surrounded the entire area. After which the terrorists were surrounded. 

The operation has been going on since last night. In which there were encounters on both sides. In this encounter, ASI Babu Ram of the Jammu and Kashmir Police attained martyrdom. 

 Significantly, there is a strong attack on security forces on terrorism in Kashmir. During the 24 hours, the security forces have killed nine terrorists over this encounter. Eight militants have been killed in two separate encounters in South Kashmir.

Three soldiers of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed by security forces in Pulwama early Saturday. During this time a young Veergati was received while another army man was injured.

Earlier on Friday morning, four militants, including Shakur Parre, the district commander of Al-Badr, were killed by security forces in Kilura, Shopian.
