Karachi: Massive firing as militants attack Pakistan Stock Exchange … Watch Videos

Karachi: A gun and grenade attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in Karachi on Monday claimed the lives of two civilians, authorities mentioned, including that regulation enforcement companies have gunned down all 4 militants that stormed the constructing and opened indiscriminate fireplace.

Polcie mentioned militants launched a grenade attack on the most important gate of the PSX and stormed the constructing after firing indiscriminately, Geo News reported.

A police officer and the safety guard stationed exterior the PSX constructing had been additionally injured within the attack.

Confirming the attack in a tweet, PSX Director, Abid Ali Habib mentioned: “An unlucky incident came about on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

“They (terrorists) made their approach from our parking space and opened fireplace on everybody.”

Speaking to Geo TV, the Inspector-General Karachi mentioned that the scenario was beneath management and all militants had been killed within the attack.

He mentioned that Rangers and police officers had entered the constructing and had been conducting a search operation.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail condemned the incident, saying: “Strongly condemn the attack on PSX aimed at tarnishing our relentless war on terror. Have instructed the IG & security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are caught alive & their handlers are accorded exemplary punishments.”

The PSX is situated on the coronary heart of Karachi’s enterprise centre. Important buildings like that of the State Bank of Pakistan is situated close to it.
