New Delhi: Actress Kangana Ranaut’s official Twitter account has been suspended after series of controversial tweets. On this issue the actress has responded in a statement.The actor-filmmaker called out the creator of Twitter for suspending her page on account of racism. Kangana revealed that she has many platforms to give her opinion including her movies. She ended by writing that her heart goes out to the people of this nation.
Kangana stated, “Twitter has only proved my point they are Americans and by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do, fortunately, I have many platforms I can use to raise my voice including my own art in the form of cinema but my heart goes out to the people of this nation who have been tortured, enslaved and censored for thousands of years and still there is no end to the suffering.”
Kangana also took to her Instagram stories and wrote ‘multiple FIRs’ have been filed against her since yesterday.
Kangana has already been trending on social media with netizens sharing their thoughts on the suspension of Kangana’s account. While one user wrote, “Breaking: Twitter has tested negative for Kangana Ranaut”. While Kangana’s Twitter account stands suspended, the actress took to her Instagram handle to share a video on how the violence has left her Distressed, beyond words, death of democracy.
Talking about her Workfront, Kangana’s film Thalaivi’s trailer was recently released. It is a biopic on actor-turned-politician Jayalalithaa and Kangana will be essaying the role of former chief minister of Tamil Nadu. The first song from Thalaivi was released on April 2. The trilingual film which will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu is directed by AL Vijay, and it also features Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Madhoo and Bhagyashree in key roles. The film’s theatrical release got postponed this month due to a surge in coronavirus cases. Apart from Thalaivi, Kangana also has Dhaakad, Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda and Tejas in the pipeline.
