New Delhi: After announcing the JEE Main exam dates to be held four times a year, now Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has made a big announcement on Thursday evening regarding JEE Advanced 2021.
Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that the examination will be conducted on July 3. Several changes have been made regarding the eligibility of JEE Advanced. The requirement of 75 percent marks in 12th standard has been lifted as a criteria for appearing for the advanced examination.
The Education Minister said that this change has been done so that talented students can get opportunities. The examination will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur.
Earlier, Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had announced that the JEE Mains exam will be held in 4 sessions. The first examination will be held from February 23-26, 2021. The second will be held in March, the third in April and the fourth in May.
Ramesh Pokhriyal has issued a notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2021). The examination will be conducted in 13 languages for the first time. Apart from this, there will be no minus marking in the optional question of 15 marks.
This time the examination will be conducted in 13 languages. English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bangla, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Oriya, Tamil, Urdu, Telugu, Punjabi. Till now the JEE examination has been conducted in English, Hindi, Gujarati.
The NTA has said that by doing this, students will get the chance to improve the score several times. In the first attempt, the students will also get to experience the exam. This decision will also help the droppers. They will not have to waste their entire year to give the exam again. In the same way, if someone is not able to take the exam once or twice, then he will not have to wait a whole year.
It is also being said that this decision has been taken by the NTA because there is no problem in organizing the JEE Main examinations of the various state board examinations that happen at different times. Till now Engineering Entrance Examination is held twice a year.
This is the schedule
Admit cards for the first session of JEE Main 2021 will be released in the first week of January. The exam will be in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm. Students doing well in JEE Main will get a chance to appear in the JEE Advanced exam. Through the JEE Advanced exam, you will get entry into the prestigious 23 IITs of the country.
