Sadar Bazar police station in Delhi has been ranked as the best police station in the country in the annual rankings of police stations for the 2021. The list also includes Basantgarh police station in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district.
New Delhi: Sadar Bazar police station in Delhi has been ranked as the best police station in the country in the annual rankings of police stations for the 2021. The list also includes Basantgarh police station in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district.
As per an assessment by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Sadar Bazar Police Station in North Delhi has topped the list best-performing police stations. Meanwhile, Basantghar police station was placed ninth on the list.
“Union Home Minister Amit Shah conferred ‘Best Police Station in the Country’ to Police Station Sadar Bazar of #DelhiPolice at DGP/IGP conference yesterday (Friday) in Lucknow,” Delhi Police tweeted.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police said, “Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) releases ranking of top 10 Police Stations of the country. Police Station #Basantgarh of #Udhampur district of our Union Territory, one among top 10 for the year 2021.Great achievement for the J&K Police. The DGP J&K Sh Dilbag Singh has congratulated ADGP Jammu Sh Mukesh Singh, DIG UR Range Sh Suliaman Choudhary and SSP Udhampur Ms Sargun Shukla.”
Gangapur Police Station in Odisha’s Ganjam district was adjudged as the second best police station, followed by Bhattu Kalan PS in Haryana’s Fatehabad at third, Goa’s Valpoi Police station at fourth and Manvi Police Station in Raichur, Karnataka at fifth position.
Among others in the list are – Kadmat Island Police Station in Lakshadweep, Shirala Police Station in Maharashtra, Thottiyam Police Station in Tamil Nadu, and Rampur Chauram Police Station from Bihar.
