Recently, she took to her social media to announce the launch of ‘Agatsu Foundation’, to aid mental health support and foster body awareness programs and training to promote self-actualization.
In the clip, she said, “I have registered a Section 8 company, called Agatsu Foundation, which launches today. Agatsu is my attempt of trying to find a balance, of trying to attain equilibrium, to make my life better for me, and to facilitate you making your life better in whichever way. Come check us out.” She captioned the video, “I proudly present… Agatsu Foundation.”
Ira had previously shared her experience with depression on social media, trying to spread awareness on mental health. Ira has been vocal about her mental health issues, and with her foundation, she aims to help the ones in need of support, especially during these tough times. On the social media pages of Agatsu Foundation, a video was uploaded to highlight what changes a man goes through in a lifespan, which in turn can make one feel overwhelmed.
In a video, she talked about her depression and said, “A few weeks ago I started to feel better from burnout, at least I started to regain some stability in my life, and normalcy. And, I was talking to someone and I was like, even now there is a part in me that doesn’t believe, that thinks that I’m overreacting, and it’s because of the way my depression manifests itself. I don’t harm myself, I don’t do drugs, I don’t have loads of coffee, I don’t have immediate threats to my life, that’s not how my depression manifests.”
