IPL 2021: RCB won by just 2 wickets, AB and Harshal helps to win opener

Chennai: Harshal Patel’s fifer and AB de Villiers 48 runs in crucial time helped the Royal Challengers Bangalore to win opener against Mumbai Indians at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on Friday.

Defending champion Mumbai Indians (MI) were restricted by Harshal Patel (5/27), who took the first-ever five-wicket haul, MI in the death overs to post 159/8 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Meanwhile, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen brought Mumbai back into the game with quick wickets.

However, Kyle Jamieson brought RCB back into the game with three good overs on debut. As Suryakumar Yadav started building on his good start, Jamieson scalped him soon.
