Mumbai: Bravo’s quick 20 runs in the first innings, Jadeja’s cameo helped CSK win a margin of 45 runs at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday.
Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis in the middle. Jaydev Unadkat to open the bowling for Rajasthan Royals. Gaikwad gives in and goes for the big shot off the slower ball. Chris Morris takes an easy catch inside the 30-yard circle. The CSK opener is out for 10. CSK lose two wickets in the powerplay with 46 runs on the board.
Du Plessis falls into the trap and miscues it to Riyan Parag, departs for 17-ball 33. Tewatia comes into the attack and gets the wicket of Moeen Ali who departs after scoring 26 runs.
At the halfway mark CSK are 82/3. Ali goes for the big shot off the slightly short delivery but finds the fielder in the deep. Another catch taken successfully by Parag Riyan as Ambati Rayudu departs. CSK lose their 4th wicket.
Rayudu hits it square and almost gets it over the ropes. Parag takes another catch. Rayudu departs for 27. Raina survives run out as Samson could not hit the target. Raina plays it straight to mid-off fielder Chris Morris. He departs for 18.
Chetan Sakariya picks up the big wicket of MS Dhoni and now has three wickets under his belt. Dhoni loses the grip and his one-handed shot carries to the covers fielder. He departs for 18. Sakariya gets his third wicket. Morris’ bouncer gets the better of Jadeja as he departs after scoring just 8 runs.
In the second Innings:
Jos Buttler and Manan Vohra open the innings for Rajasthan as Deepak Chahar starts with the ball. In the fourth over, Sam Curran strikes and picks up the wicket of Manan Vohra. Jadeja with a fine catch at mid-wicket.
After Vohra, Samson throws his wicket away. He finds the mid-off fielder and Bravo makes no mistake. Meanwhile, Jos Buttler beaten by Ravindra Jadeja as the ball hits the stumps. Jadeja has the last ball in this battle. Buttler misses his fifty by just one run.
Jadeja finishes his spell taking two wickets and giving 28 runs. RR’s middle order continue to crumble. Two wickets in an over for Moeen Ali. Riyan Parag and Chris Morris depart. Ravindra Jadeja takes an easy catch and it is second wicket for Moeen Ali.
In the second last over, Tewatia hands a simple catch to Ruturaj Gaikwad. He departs for 20.
