IndiGo aircraft grounded at Patna airport after bomb scare, passenger arrested

Patna: Already reeling from a series of technical faults involving its aircraft, IndiGo Airlines was hit by a bomb scare on Thursday. IndiGo flight 6e2126 from Patna to Delhi was grounded at Patna airport and was immediately evacuated after information was received about the presence of a bomb on the aircraft.

According to reports, a passenger claimed that he had a bomb in his bag. A bomb disposal squad reached the spot and carried out an investigation.

The bag of the errant passenger was checked and no bomb was found. The passenger was then arrested and the rest of the plane was checked.

According to reports, IndiGo flight number 6e2126 was about to fly to Delhi at 8.20 pm in the evening. A total of 134 passengers were on board.

Shortly before the plane took off, a young man who had boarded the plane said that he had a bomb. On hearing this, there was panic among the passengers. The security team deployed at the airport and the CISF team immediately took off all the passengers from the plane and the bomb disposal squad was called at Patna airport.

The bomb disposal squad investigated the Patna airport intensively. Simultaneously, the baggage of the passengers were also checked at Patna Airport. All the passengers who were on the plane were checked for their belongings. The bomb disposal Squad also checked the plane.

Senior police officials also reached Patna airport and the security of the entire airport was tightened.
