New Delhi: Union Home Minister and Co-operation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday announced that India is the fastest growing economy in the world with a growth rate of 8.2 per cent in 2022.
Addressing the 6th National Conference on Mines and Minerals, Amit Shah said, “With a growth rate of 8.2 per cent, we are the world’s fastest growing economy in 2022.”
The Union Home Minister compared India’s growth rate with that of different countries of the same period and said it was 3.7 per cent in the US, 2.1 per cent in Germany, 4.4 per cent in China and 8 per cent in Brazil.
“India has achieved exports of 421 billion dollars.Our GST collection has crossed Rs 1.62 lakh crore,” Amit Shah said.
“Under the current regime of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is an easy environment for business people. India has achieved a record trade exports of $421 billion, the highest ever level in India’s export history. This achievement is the result of the hard work of the Indian youth,” he added.
The Union Home Minister also emphasized on how India recorded the “highest” annual foreign direct investment (FDI) of $83.57 billion in 2021-22.
Speaking on inflation at the event, Amit Shah said that India has controlled it much better than other countries.
“There is inflation all over the world. We have controlled inflation as compared to the world. We are seeing the situation in Sri Lanka, Pakistan and our neighboring countries even in the US,” Amit Shah said.
