India administered 53.81 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses on Nov 11, total coverage surpasses 110.79 crore



As many as 14,26,692 people received their first dose, while 39,55,197 got their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday.

New Delhi: India has been speedily vaccinating its population against COVID-19. So far more than 110.79 crore doses of vaccines have been administered in the country. 

As per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), 1,10,79,51,225 doses of vaccine have been administered across the nation. On Thursday, 53,81,889 doses were administered.

As many as 14,26,692 people received their first dose, while 39,55,197 got their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday.

The vaccination drive has been ramped up through availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and Union Territories for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain.

Till now, more than 121 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs through Government of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category.

Over 18.04 crore balance and unutilised COVID vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
