Birmingham: Team India has sealed the three-match series after winning two consecutive games against England in Birmingham. In the second game, India marked a 49 runs win after Jos Buttler-led English team was bowled out for 121 runs.
India had put 170 runs on board at the loss of 8 wickets. Put to bat first, Captain Rohit Sharma paired with Rishabh Pant to open for the visitors and garnered 49 runs for the first wicket. Captain went back to pavilion after 4.5 over.
Things could not be worse for former captain he was dismissed on the very third ball he faced. Richard Gleeson took the wicket and sent back star player.
Pant followed his footsteps on the next ball and retired to dressing room for 26 runs after 6.2 overs. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya steadied the ship with for almost 4 overs before they were dismissed on consecutive ball in 11th over.
