New Delhi: After 6 lovable and memorable years at the Anfield, Sadio Mane has finally said goodbye to Liverpool FC, and he says this goodbye as a club legend. The Senegalese forward has joined Bayern Munich Football Club but he made it crystal clear that he can’t forget Liverpool and the love he has got being part of it. Just after signing a three-contract with the German champions, Mane reminisced his time with the Reds and said that he is thankful for all the love and respect he got from the club and its wonderful supporters.
“Dear fans!!! Difficult to find the right words for this. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, I’m so pleased to be a very small part of this incredible success we’d together during the last 6 years. You were there in good and bad times. I’ll never forget. #YNWA,” wrote the 30-year-old on Twitter.
Sadio Mane has very well stood firm on the slogan of Liverpool that You’ll Never Walk Alone. There have been many legends who have left Liverpool after spending a lot of time but only a handful could keep it in their memories and stayed thankful. Whereas Mane has shown the emotional connect he shares with the club and how religiously he loves it.
“I am going to be Liverpool’s No.1 fan forever,” said Mane.
“After every game! After every one of my games in Munich I will come to the dressing room and I will watch Liverpool. I just want to say good luck to them and I have an eye on them. And for sure they will be even better because I know the boys: great players, great talent, great maturity and attitude, so of course, Liverpool will always stay even better, for sure.”
“I think whoever is leaving Liverpool, with those supporters you will always miss them because so far [they are] the best in the world. Playing at Anfield I think always gives you so much power because of the fans. So, for sure I am going to miss you guys but anyway, I love you guys.”
“I still have my house in Liverpool and everything so for sure I will come back, of course, and I would love one day to come back to Anfield to say hi to them and of course to watch Liverpool playing because for me, I am going to be Liverpool’s No.1 fan,” Mane showered his love for the fans and the club.
