“I will speak to my sister before I say anything,” Rajeev Sen opens about Lalit Modi dating Sushmita Sen

New Delhi: IPL founder Lalit Modi on Thursday evening announced that he is dating Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen, the news has taken the internet by storm. And now, Sushmita’s brother Rajeev Sen has opened up to the buzz about her relationship with Modi.

Talking to ETimes, Rajeev said, “I am pleasantly surprised. I will speak to my sister before I say anything. I wasn’t aware of it at all. My sister is yet to confirm this from her end, so, I can’t comment as of now.”

The former chairman of IPL had tweeted about starting the relationship with Sushmita and posted some romantic pictures with her. But he also clarified that they both are not married yet.

Along with happy and romantic photos from their recent holiday as well as some very old pictures. Lalit tweeted, “Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families – not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon.”

“Just for clarity. Not married – just dating each other. That too will happen one day,” he added.

A few months back, Sushmita broke up with Rohman Shawl. They both dated for a few years. Talking about the marriage she told Twinkle Khanna in a recent conversation, “I came close to getting married thrice, all three times God saved me. I can’t tell you what disasters followed with their respective lives. God protected me, also because God is protecting these two kids, he can’t let me get into a messy affair.”

For the unversed, in 2010 Lalita left the country because of the investigations into tax evasion and money laundering. He has been in London since then.

On the other hand, Sushmita Sen has crowned Miss Universe in 1994. She made her Bollywood debut in the 1996 film ‘Dastak.’ She has seen in films such as Biwi No 1, Do Knot Disturb, Main Hoon Na, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge and No Problem. The actress was last seen in the web series Aarya.
