New Delhi (Anish Yande): The Honor V40 series could see a launch as early as January 2021. The series consists of the Honor V40, V40 Pro, and V40 Pro+. A significant leak indicating an imminent release of the Honor V40 has been shared by tipsters. A device associated with Honor has received a certification by the Chinese 3C certification website.

Earlier, an Android tipster had revealed that the device is codenamed YORK. The designation for the device was hinted at as being YOK-AN10.
One of the most significant details revealed by the listing on the 3C website is the mention of the model and type of the charger.
HW-110600C00 is the noted model number of the charger. Listings for nova8 and Huawei Mate40 phones also use the HW-110600C00 adapter.
HW-110600C00 is a 66W fast charging source adapter. The Honor V40 is most likely receiving charging support of 66W fast charging.
Expected Specs of Honor V40:
The Honor V40 could have a 6.72-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The pixel density of the Honor V40 is 401 ppi. The Honor V40 has a display resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The phone, which would cater to the mid-range segment, could come with a 64 MP primary sensor and a secondary 12 MP sensor. The V40 could also have a macro and depth sensor.
The Honor V40 could run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ SoC. The Honor V40 Pro runs on Samsung Exynos 1080 processor. The Pro+ variant comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
The battery for the Honor V40 is a 4200 mAh battery with the mentioned 66W fast charging. Connectivity features include 5G connectivity along with 4G, 3G, and 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port.
The expected prices for the Honor V40 could start from Rs 36,999. The phone could enter the midrange segment of the upcoming 5G smartphones.
