#HijabRow: Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar says 'School is not a place to choose what you want to wear'

New Delhi: Khushbu Sundar is an Indian actress, politician, film producer, and television presenter, predominantly known for her work in the South Indian film industry. She has raised her voice in support of what she thinks is right and landed into trouble too for it. This time, she took her opinion on the controversy over hijab to Twitter.

The ‘Annaatthe’ actress wrote on Twitter, “School is not a place to choose what you want to wear. It’s a place of discipline. Every educational institution should n must have a rule to show solidarity n respect towards learning. What you wear outside is ur choice. In schools respect the code of conduct. Respect learning.”

This is not the first time, she has stepped into controversy. Earlier, a voice note of the actress was leaked and the media was very angry over it. She had sent the voice note on a WhatsApp group consisting of television producers, she disrespected the press in it and made headlines.

The Hijab protests began in January this year when some students at the Government Girls PU college in Udupi district in Karnataka alleged that they were denied entry into the college for wearing hijab.

Following this incident, students of different colleges arrived at Shanteshwar Education Trust in Vijayapura wearing saffron stoles. The situation was the same in several colleges in the Udipi district.
