Haryana: Schools to reopen for Classes 1 to 9 tomorrow says Education Minister

New Delhi: The education minister of Haryana has announced to reopen the schools for Classes 1 to 9 from tomorrow, February 10. The schools will take the classes in both offline and online mode considering strict COVID-19 measures.

The minister tweeted, “In #Haryana schools will be opened for classes 1 to 9 from February 10. COVID-19 appropriate behavior will be strictly followed in the classrooms. Parents who want to send their children to school can send them. Online classes will also continue.”

The schools for Classes 10, 11 and 12 reopened in the state from February 1. The Haryana education minister has announced to reopen schools for classes 1 to 9 from February 10 with the decline in COVID-19 cases.

As per the state guidelines, students who have taken at least the first dose of Covid vaccination are allowed to attend physical classes. The schools are advised to ensure that COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines are strictly followed on the premises. 

The educational institutions were shut in Haryana till January 26 due to the rise in COVID-19, Omicron cases in India. Schools, colleges and educational institutions were asked to resume online classes for students in the state.
