New Delhi: The Deol family is celebrating the 50th birthday of youngest son Bobby Deol, a versatile actor who made the name in the film industry by his action and power-packed roles earlier in his career. He has worked in more than 40 films in his career spanning two decades. Despite his illustrious work front, the actor apparently failed in bagging any roles until OTT came to his rescue. Now, Bobby is enjoying the resurgence of his career as an actor as he shed his cute hero image and started expanding his repertoire.
2020 was a successful year for OTT projects and Bobby Deol as well. The was part of two successful projects, Class Of 83 and Aashram. While his portrayal of Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala in the web show Aashram garnerd him massive popularity, Class of 83, too, received many critical acclaims.
Class of 83:
A Netflix original film, Class of 83 is directed by Atul Sabharwal and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. It went on floors on 21st August 2020. The series follows the story a demoted cop, played by Bobby, who turns five trainees into assassins to get back at the corrupt system.
Aashram is an MX original series, directed by Prakash Jha and produced by Prakash Jha under Prakash Jha Productions. The show was also at the centre of controversies for its resemblance with the lives of few spiritual leader even as the makers stated it is purely a work of fiction.
Meanwhile, as per the reports, the actor is currently shooting for a thriller project in Mumbai which will be soon announced if it’s going to be a film or web series. And their couple of movies he has signed for, “Love Hostel”, for which shooting is meant to start early this year.
Also, the actor will be seen in a film directed by Sandeep Vanga names “Animal”. He is also the part of “Apne 2” it is a family project in which the Veteran actor Dharmendra and Sunny Deol will be seen along with Karan Deol, son of Sunny. The film, which was officially announced by Dharmendra on Sunday, will have a Diwali 2021 theatrical release.
