Girls outshine boys in class 12 exams, CBSE not to announce merit list this year – The Economic Times

NEW DELHI: Girls outshone boys in the class 12 examination, outcomes of which had been introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday.

The board determined not to give you a merit list in view of remarkable circumstances amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Girls outperformed boys by 5.96 per cent whereas the general go share elevated by 5.38 per cent as towards final year.

The Trivandrum area recorded the very best go share at 97.67 whereas the bottom go share was recorded at 74.57 in the Patna area.

The board has introduced the outcomes on the premise of an alternate evaluation scheme after the pending exams had been cancelled in view of spike in COVID-19 instances. As per the 4-pointer scheme, marks have been awarded on foundation of marks scored by a pupil in his or her greatest performing topics.

However, the outcomes of 400 college students may not be computed as per the scheme and will probably be introduced later, a senior board official stated.
