George Clooney opens up about his HORRIFIC 2018 bike crash

In 2018, George Clooney was hospitalised after he had been hit by a car in Sardinia, while filming for Catch 22 on the island.

London: Popular Hollywood actor George Clooney recently opened up about his life-threatening motorbike crash that happened in 2018. In an interaction to The Sunday Times, the iconic actor reflected on the moment when he thought he was waiting for his “switch to turn off”. 

For the unversed, back in 2018, George Clooney was hospitalised after he had been hit by a car in Sardinia, while filming for Catch 22 on the island. The crash happened when a Mercedes turned in front of the actor and Clooney was thrown from his bike and slammed into the windscreen.

As per reports, while municipal police and an ambulance, along with the fire department were quick to arrive, Clooney, while on ground realised that a crowd had gathered and were filming him.

The actor recalled, “I was waiting for my switch to turn off. I’m fine now. If you’re in the public eye, what you realise when you’re on the ground thinking it’s the last minute of your life is that, for some people, it’s just going to be entertainment for their Facebook page.” 

The actor, who recently marked his milestone 60th birthday with his wife of seven-years, Amal, said, “Turning 60 is a bummer. But it’s that or dead.” 

He also recalled how he told barrister Amal “knock on wood, I’m healthy.”
