Amit Singh, New Delhi: During the meeting with the government at the Vigyan Bhawan, the leaders of the farmers union even refused to drink the tea provided by the government.
When asked by the Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Minister of State for Commerce Som Prakash for tea, all the farmers said that their food and refreshments was coming from the Gurdwara.
When the lunch break took place at Vigyan Bhavan, the farmer leaders had food which had come in a white ambulance from the demonstration site at the Singhu border.
In the meeting on behalf of the leaders, the lone woman representative Kavita Talukdar attacked the government over the demand of the farmers. Kavita is a social activist and also a member of the Central Coordination Committee of this movement. Kavita is also a member of All India Kisan Joint Committee.
The farmers also demanded a law to guarantee the MSP with a draft of their demands before the government. The government has said that it can give a written promise with regard to the MSP.
Farmers and the government meeting at Vigyan Bhavan included 40 farmer representatives along with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar and Union Minister Piyush Goyal. . Farmers leaders Rakesh Tikait and Gurnam Singh also attended the second round of meetings.
