Farm laws can come back, re-drafted: BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj’s tall claims

Sakshi Maharaj said with cancelling of the the three farm laws, the Prime Minister has taught a lesson to those who raised Pakistan and Khalistan Zindabad slogans.

New Delhi: Commenting on the Union government’s decision on repealing the three contentious farm laws, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Sakshi Maharaj said, “Bills (farm laws) come, they’re repealed, they can come back, they can be re-drafted.”

Speaking to media persons, the BJP MP from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, said, “Bills (Farm Laws) have got nothing to do with polls… For Prime Minister Narendra Modi, nation comes first. Bills come, they’re repealed, they can come back, they can be re-drafted. I thank the Prime Minister that he chose nation over Bill and dealt a blow to wrong intentions.”

Sakshi Maharaj further went on to add that with cancelling of the the three farm laws, the Prime Minister has taught a lesson to those who raised Pakistan and Khalistan Zindabad slogans.

Taking a jibe at Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait, the BJP MP said the statements made by Tikait does not have any impact on anyone. “Farmers of the country have full trust on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is doing everything keeping in mind the betterment of the nation,” Sakshi Maharaj added.

Talking about the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly election 2022, Sakshi Maharaj said he is confident that BJP will come to power in the state with a huge majority.

On Friday (November 19), Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced repealing of the three farm laws passed by the Parliament in 2020. The passage of bills had led to a massive protest by farmers’ unions in several parts of the country.

PM Modi, in his address, said the procedure to rollback the laws would take place during the winter session of parliament which is slated to begin next week.
