Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar to marry in February? Here’s what we know

New Delhi: 2022 has just started and it’s already raining weddings in Bollywood. After Mouni Roy made headlines for her reported wedding in January, the rumour has it that the power couple Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are also set to tie the knot in February this year. Instead of jumping on the Big fat Indian wedding bandwagon, the couple will reportedly have a court wedding, reported Pinkvilla. The couple will be registering their wedding in Mumbai on February 21.

According to Pinkvilla, “Wedding was on cards for the two of them, as they have been in love for the longest time now. They have been discussing wedding plans for a while now and have finally decided to take things to the next level. On February 21, their relationship will take a new turn, as they will take the formal vows to be partners for life.”

However, this is not the first time the duo has attracted wedding rumours. In fact, there were also reports of them getting married in 2019 when Shibani had met Farhan Akhtar’s father Javed Akhtar.

Farhan and Shibani have never shied away from expressing their love for each other, and often take to social media to share mushy posts. Recently, on Farhan’s birthday, January 9, Shibani shared some stunning picture with her ‘Foo’ and called  2022 his best year yet to be. “My Foo, to what will be your best year yet. Love you FOREVER Happy birthday x,” she wrote.

Shibani and Farhan met on the sets of the reality TV show I Can Do That in 2015. While Farhan was the host, Shibani was one of the contestants in the show. Although they were rumoured to be dating soon after, they did not make their public debut as a couple until 2018, when they attended Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s reception together.
