Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is currently been all over the places, thanks to his dashing looks and exciting pipeline of films. The actor also attracted spotlight recently for buying a new car worth Rs 5 crore after recovering from covid-10. Yet again, the actor has become the talk of gossip mills, but this time it’s more of a controversy. Reportedly, the actor is currently in a ‘tiff’ with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and in the same line, he has dropped their most awaited project ‘Dostana 2’. The reports of the actor leaving the film was confirmed after Dharma Productions itself announced on social media platforms that recasting for Dostana will soo be held. Kartik, however, has kept mum on the development. Meanwhile, fans of the actor have been enraged with Dharma and have been calling out the instiution for nepotism.
Dharma Productions’ statement read, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain dignified silence – we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon.”
It is rumoured that Dharma production house is not only just replacing the actor in the sequel to their 2008 hit, but will also not work with him in any other film. Basically, the production house has banned him.
Dostana 2 was announced in 2019 but the shoot was delayed in the view of the covid-19 pandemic . Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor had already shot for 20 days. The film also marks Bollywood debut of television actor Lakshya.
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan will be seen in the horror-comedy film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2”, starring Tabu and Kiara Advani. The film is a sequel to 2007 film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”, which stars Akshay Kumar in the lead. The film is slated to hit screens in November this year. He will also be seen in Dhamaka.
