New Delhi: Amid the huge rise in coronavirus cases, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will discuss the Covid-19 situation with Lt. Governor Anil Baijal during a meeting on Monday.

According to data shared by the Department of Health, the city recorded the biggest jump in its daily COVID-19 tally on Sunday, with 25,462 fresh cases and 161 deaths.

According to reports, the Delhi government is contemplating a new ban along with furthering the weekend lockdown as the national capital struggles to control the disease.

Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that less than 100 ICU beds are available in hospitals in the national capital and spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and stressed the need for beds for Covid-19 patients.

The Delhi Chief Minister has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, urging them to increase the bed capacity in hospitals run by the central government and ensure the supply of medical oxygen.
