Deepika Singh faces criticism for dancing in front of uprooted trees amid Cyclone Tauktae

New Delhi: Television actress Deepika Singh, popularly known for playing Sandhya in Diya Aur Baati Hum, has been criticized on social media after she posed for pictures beside an uprooted tree amid Cyclone Tauktae in Mumbai. The actress shared some pictures and a video dancing in the rain. 

She captioned a pic as, “You can’t calm the storm, so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself, embrace the nature and it’s gloomy moods because the storm will pass.. Ps: This tree fell right outside my house nobody got hurt, but while putting it away from my door, Rohit and I managed to take few pictures to remember the #cyclonetauktae ! #staysafe #stayhome #fullmadness.”

While many have appreciated and applauded her dancing pictures and videos, for some it was plain insensitive. Some called her insensitive, some also pointed at the privileges. In another post, Deepika shared a video of herself swaying to the romantic ballad, “Saibo. Deepika posted a video of herself enjoying the rains. She captioned it as, “Bola tha na life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s learning to dance in the rain.” .“Don’t promote these types of videos…. it was not good to be outside…” wrote a user on Instagram under her video post, while another person advised Deepika to wear a mask.

The actress is recently seen in Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein, Deepika has also featured in Diya Aur Baati Hum.
