Coronavirus update: At 1.86L, India reports lowest daily cases in 44 days

New Delhi: Amid declining trend in Covid-19 cases, India on Friday reported 1,86L new cases in preceding 24-hour, which is country’s lowest daily toll in 44 days. The death toll also saw marginal decline and was reported at 3,600. The active cases in the country have further declined to  23,43,152,a decrease by 76,755 in last 24 hours.

The country has also recorded 2,48,93,410 total recoveries since the onset of the pandemic with 2,59,459 patients recuperating from the disease during last 24 hours.

A total of 33,90,39,861 samples tested up to May 27. Of these, 20,70,508 samples tested yesterday: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). 

With new additions, the country’s overall covid-19 tally now stands at 2,75,55,457, while the death toll rose to 3,18,89. 

The Health Ministry said that a total of 20,57,20,660 people have been vaccinated so far in the country, including 29,19,699 who were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.
