Coronavirus pandemic continues to break records, highest daily death toll registered

New Delhi: The coronavirus pandemic is breaking new records everyday. The number of Covid-19 cases is increasing at an extremely rapid pace in India.

Precautionary measures such as lockdown and night curfew are being taken to break the coronavirus infection chain. 

More than 2 lakh cases of coronavirus have been reported for the third consecutive day. The condition of the country is so bad that every day coronavirus figures are setting new records. Deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours have broken all records so far.

According to the data released this morning by the Ministry of Health, 2,34,692 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 1341 people have died. After the arrival of new cases of coronavirus, the total number of Covid-19 infected patients in the country has increased to one crore 45 lakh 26 thousand 609. 

With this, 1 crore 26 lakh 71 thousand 220 people have been recovered in the country so far, whereas at present there are 16 lakh 79 thousand 740 active cases. After the deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of dead in the country has increased to 1 lakh 75 thousand 649.

For the past 9 consecutive days, the number of Covid-19 infections being reported every day is setting new records. India ranks second in the world as far as active coronavirus cases are concerned. India also ranks second in terms of total number of infected.

India, which is battling the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, is second only to America in the list of coronavirus infected countries in the world. India has the highest number of deaths in the world after USA, Brazil and Mexico.
