New Delhi: The much-anticipated trailer of Varun Dhawan-Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No. 1 has finally released. The film shows a promising plot with Varun Dhawan being his goofy self and Sara Ali Khan playing perfect eye candy.

Directed by David Dhawan, Coolie No. 1  is a remake of his original 1995 film which starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. A few seconds into the trailer, we are introduced to a wealthy businessman, Jeffery Rozario, played by Paresh Rawal, who aims to get his daughter Sarah, played by Sara Ali Khan, married to the wealthiest man in the country. During his groom hunt, he ends up insulting a matchmaker named Jai Kishen, played by Jaaved Jaffery, who later gets back at him in the most unexpected way.

Jai disguises a coolie named Raju, played by Varun Dhawan, as a handsome and rich businessman named Kunwar Raj Paratp Singh and introduces him to Rozario who ends up believing that he is the one for his daughter.

Filled with one-liners that will make you go ROFL, the three-minute long trailer shows how one lie leads to another, making the film a comedy of errors. The trailer also gives a sneak peek of Sara and Varun’s refreshing chemistry on the screen.

However, if you’re someone who is looking for progressive cinema, the trailer doesn’t have much to offer. But in case you are a fan of Bollywood masala entertainers, Coolie No. 1 comes up with the pack.

Apart from the title Coolie No.1 , the new film has also taken up melodious track and dialogue such as Husn Hai Suhana and ‘Duniya mera ghar hai, Station mera adda hai, Jab mann kare aa jana, Raju mera naam hai… aur pyaar se log mujhe bulate hai Coolie No 1’ resepectively from the 1995 film.

Produced by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, the film also stars Shikha Talsania, Rajpal Yadav and Johnny Lever in pivotal roles.  The film will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from December 25
