China imposes lockdown in Guangzhou after new coronavirus cases

Beijing: Coronavirus cases have started increasing once again in China. New restrictions have been imposed after increasing cases of coronavirus infection in Guangzhou, China. 

The travel and movement of people has been banned in Guangzhou. Flights from the international airport in Guangzhou have been canceled. Authorities in Guangzhou, China, have asked people not to leave the city unless their travel is absolutely necessary amid the increasing cases of coronavirus in the country. 

The city’s headquarters on COVID-19 control and prevention also said that those leaving Guangzhou from Monday will have to give a negative nucleic acid test result within 48 hours before traveling, Xinhua news agency reported.

Seven locally transmitted cases of coronavirus and three locally transmitted asymptomatic corona virusinfections were reported in Guangzhou city on Saturday. Along with this, 7 coronavirus cases from Guangzhou outside have also been reported. 

According to officials, all cases from outside countries have come to Guangdong from Bangladesh, Cambodia, France, Canada, Cameroon and India. A total of 94 new virus infections have been reported so far, including 80 confirmed cases of corona, since new cases were reported in Guangzhou City on May 21.

A total of 91,248 coronavirus cases and 4,636 deaths have been reported in China since the first case of coronavirus was reported in Wuhan city of Hubei province in December 2019.

Increasing pressure on China

The official announcement of the first case of coronavirus infection in China was made in December 2019. China is being tightened to find out the truth about the origin of the coronavirus pandemic.

From the US government to many scientists, the pressure of bringing out its truth and investigating it is increasing continuously on China.
