India on Tuesday blocked 43 more mobile apps.

A day after the government blocked 43 more mobile apps, mostly Chinese, for activities that are “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”, China has said it “resolutely opposes” the move to block more apps.
“China firmly opposes Indian side’s repeated use of ‘national security’ as excuse to prohibit mobile apps with Chinese background. Hope India provides fair, impartial and non-discriminatory business environment for all market player and rectify discriminatory practices,” Ji Rong, spokesperson of Chinese embassy in India said in a statement.

In a new wave of sanctions targeting China amid a standoff in Ladakh that started in May, the government on Tuesday blocked Alibaba Group Holding Ltd’s e-commerce app Aliexpress among other apps.
