Nov. 22, 2020, 4:56 p.m.

NEW DELHI (DIVYA SAINI): Schools across India have been shut for more than 8 months now. In India, Kerala was the first state to cancel all the classes in the schools and colleges. The day when  World Health Organization (WHO) declared Coronavirus pandemic the other states too took the decision to shut schools and colleges for all classes.

Here are some ideas how you can keep your children busy in corona pandemic to keep their mental health fit.

1. Follow A Routine

Children belonging to all age groups have different kind of routine. So make your children follow a routine according to their age and work so that they won’t feel ideal and will organize their day according to the schedule.

2. Engage and Interact

The key to keep children busy is to engage and interact with them, you should involve them in household works and allow them to interact with their friends, family and neighbours. You can also allow them to interact with family members and spend time with them while telling them some stories.

3. Keep them in contact with their friends

Physical distancing from friends can cause stress among childrens. You should encourage them to talk to their friends so that they can feel light when they will share what they feel. You can also connect your children and their friend virtually by making them play some games and activities which will utilize their time in learning good and staying busy.

4. Give clear information

It is not important to provide every news and report to you children during corona pandemic but it is necessary to provide them some clear and detailed information about what is happening around the world with proper facts so that they don’t stay confused and this may reduce their anxiety when they will come to know new things happening around the world.
