Check out Google’s virtual New Year’s Eve party on YouTube

New Delhi (Anish Yande): Google is hosting an event on the occasion of New Year’s Eve. For Indian users, Google would be launching ‘Hello 2021 India’, a virtual event to bring in the New Year. The event would be featuring performances from celebrities, including Tiger Shroff and Badshah.

Google’s ‘Hello 2021 India’ event would be premiering on December 31st at 11 pm IST. The event would be streamed on YouTube. The event would be presented through YouTube Originals.

Users can check out the virtual event by opening up a Google Search. Users can tap on the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ feature on Google to be redirected to a page that states ‘Hello 2021: Join YouTube’s New Year’s Eve party tomorrow.’ Users can set a reminder for the event through YouTube. 

Comedian Zakir Khan would be hosting the ‘Hello 2021 India’ event. The event would feature performances from actor Tiger Shroff, and musicians Jonita Gandhi and Badshah. 

Singers such as Akasa, Benny Dayal, and Aastha Gill would be performing at the event as well. Additionally, the event would feature performances from actor Alaya F and the Kerela-based music band Thaikkudam Bridge. 

Google Launches Party Popper on the occasion of New Year’s Eve:

Google launched a party popper prompt for New Year’s. The party popper appears when users search ‘new year’ on Google. The popper releases a burst of confetti whenever a user taps it. 

The popper also makes a sound similar to a popper.

There is no apparent limit to how many times users can click on the popper. 

The virtual event and the party popper is a part of Google’s efforts to encourage people to stay at home during New Year’s Eve.
