CBI questions Ibobi Singh for three hours

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) right now quizzed former Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh for over three hours at his residence in Imphal in reference to the Rs 332 crores alleged misappropriation of growth funds between 2009 and 2017. Singh was then Chairman of Manipur Development Society.

Ibobi Singh and others have been booked by CBI on corruption and different fees final November after the state authorities had transferred the case to CBI.

Besides Singh, the company final November had additionally booked three former MDS chairmen — D S Poonia, PC Lawmuknga, O Nabakishore Singh — all retired IAS officers.

Kishore was the Chairman of MDS from 2015 to 2017.

Y Ningthem Singh, the previous undertaking director of the society and S Ranjit Singh, its administrative officer additionally stands named within the FIR. The CBI had registered the case on the Manipur authorities’s request.
