BJP MP Ananthkumar Hegde on Tuesday stated Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) workers had been “traitors” who had been unwilling to work and the federal government would privatise the corporate. According to Hegde, greater than 88,000 workers will be fired from the general public sector unit (PSU), as the federal government will privatise the corporate.
Speaking at an occasion in Kumta in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, Hedge stated, “BSNL has a system filled with traitors. I am using accurate words to describe them,” including that even the Narendra Modi-led authorities was unable to deal with the issues confronted by the PSU.
“The government has given money; people require services and there is infrastructure. Yet, they (BSNL employees) do not work. The Prime Minister talks of digital India and has provided funds and technology. Still, they are not willing to work,” he stated, including that the central authorities will treatment the scenario by privatising the agency.
BSNL has change into a black mark for all the nation and we are going to end it, he stated. The central authorities will introduce disinvestment coverage and shut BSNL and the area will be occupied by personal events within the coming days, he added.
