New Delhi. AAP Chief Spokesperson and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj held a press conference today in which he said that the BJP’s present Dalit women councilor exposed a letter of corruption in the BJP-ruled North MCD. He further said that the North MCD, BJP councilor Jyoti wrote a complaint to Lieutenant Governor, CM Arvind Kejriwal and National Commission for Scheduled Castes on 8 March 2021.
Bhardwaj said, BJP councilor accuses North MCD Mayor, Chairman of Standing Committee, Leader and Commissioner along with land mafia for stopping the development work in Dalit ward. Bhardwaj also said that the BJP councilor Jyoti has made three dozen complaints so far, but no action has been taken till date.
Bhardwaj in a press conference presented a letter written by a Dalit councilor of BJP, Ms. Jyoti Rachhoya. He shared a copy of the letter with the press in which Ms. Rachhoya has put several allegations on her own party members from the Delhi MCD of stopping the development work of the Dalit ward.
He said, ‘Time and again we have exposed the amount of corruption being done in the BJP led Delhi MCD. Earlier, we exposed how a BJP councilor was caught red-handed by the CBI while taking 10 lakh rupees from the building department from a person who wanted to build a house. Today, we would like you to know it from their own councilor that how their own party members are stalling the development work.’
He said, “Jyoti Rachhoya has written an official complaint on her own letterhead exposing her own party members. She has marked the letter to the Honorable Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, National Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Vijay Sakala, and Secretary to Sir.
In this complaint, BJP’s Nangloi-elected female councilor Jyoti Rachoia Ward No. 37 Nangloi, North Delhi Municipal Corporation. She has mentioned, the Mayor of North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Jai Prakash, Chairman of the Standing Committee, Chail Bihari Goswami, Leader of the corporation Yogesh Kumar Verma, Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti, and other high officials of the corporation, along with land mafias are stopping the development work of the Dalit ward and implicate the applicant family in false cases.’
‘These complaints are being made by the BJP’s sitting councilor against her own mayor, chairman of her standing committee, Gyanesh Bharti, the commissioner of his own corporation’ he further added.
Bhardwaj said, “In this letter, Rachhoya has provided information regarding a dozen of illegal constructions in her ward. She has asked why she is not being provided any information about the illegal activities being done.”
“Rachhoya has also alleged that she won the election alone as a Dalit woman from Northern Municipal Corporation on BJP ticket in 2017 and became a councilor. Since then, various related works are under consideration from the Construction Committee about which she has already mentioned in the letter, the MP also filed prayers for redressal of about 30-40 letters of complaint.
