New Delhi: Responding to the discussion on the budget in the Rajya Sabha, MOS Finance Anurag Thakur lashed out at the opposition, accusing them of misleading farmers and countrymen over the new agricultural laws.
He said in the Rajya Sabha that it is not written anywhere in the new agricultural laws that the minimum support price (MSP) system will be abolished.
“I challenge the Congress and the opposition leaders that the new agriculture laws will abolish the mandi and minimum support price (MSP) system, please tell us where it is written,” MOS Finance Anurag Thakur said.
“We are committed to taking India forward,” the BJP MP added.
“This budget reflects the hope of building a new India, a stronger India and a self-reliant India. This will take us on the path of becoming an economic and manufacturing powerhouse. In particular, the capital expenditure has been increased by 34.5 percent, which is a record in itself.”
