BJP campaigned for ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’ become ‘Congress-yukt Bharat’: AAP’s Malvinder Kang

Chandigarh: In a sarcastic comment on Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that the saffron party that talks about freeing the nation of the Congress is itself becoming a party full of Congress leaders. This comes in a response to the exodus of Congress leaders following their inclusion to the BJP.

“BJP talks about ideology. Has it failed to create leadership in Punjab for so many years or are its leaders not competent that it has to take Congress’ kachra (garbage),” a news agency PTI quoted Malvinder Singh Kang, chief spokesperson of AAP Punjab unit.

The AAP spokesperson said that the BJP itself has levelled multiple charges against the Congress leaders who joined the saffron party on June 4.

Kang alleged that the BJP only talked about ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’ but after following the trend of including Congress leaders, BJP is becoming ‘Congress-yukt Bharat’.

Yesterday, Former ministers Raj Kumar Verka, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, and Sundar Sham Arora were among the seven Congress leaders who joined the BJP.

Apart from them, Congress leaders Kewal S Dhillon, Kamaljeet S Dhillon and the sitting Mayor of Congress in Mohali, Amarjeet S Sidhu also joined the BJP here today.

It should be noted that last month, Patidar leader Hardik Patel had also left the grand-old party to join BJP earlier this month. Patel had repeatedly blamed the functioning of the Congress in Gujarat unit. Also while taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, he said he resigned from the grand old party after he felt that he was being “ignored”.

After leaving the party, the Patidar leader asserted that a campaign will be carried out in which Congress leaders will be asked to switch over to the saffron party.
