Bihar Election 2020: Grand Alliance releases manifesto, big promises to the public

Oct. 17, 2020, 1:45 p.m.

New Delhi: The Grand Alliance has released its manifesto regarding the assembly elections to be held in Bihar. In the grand alliance, the Congress, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and the Left parties are fighting together against the NDA in the state. The manifesto of the Grand Alliance focuses on farm laws and jobs.

Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that if he wins the election, the alliance led by RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav will pass a bill in the first assembly session itself, ending three anti-agricultural laws implemented by the Center last month. Will go.

Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party, Surjewala said that the BJP is contesting in three alliances. One is with the Janata Dal (United) which the public can see, another is with the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) which the people understand and the third is with Owaisi Saheb.

Tejashwi Yadav, the chief ministerial candidate in the grand alliance, said that the central team has not visited the state so far to see how many people have been affected by the floods. It seems that everyone is busy in the race to get a chair. People talk big that their job is of service, not to take care of fruits for themselves, but in Bihar, there have been 60 big scams for Mewa.

On BJP leader Giriraj Singh’s questions against Congress leader Muskur Usmani, Surjewala said that the BJP is preparing a dispute by talking hatred to divert attention. Our candidate has never spoken of Jinnah’s ideology. When he was a student of AMU, he wrote to PM to remove the portrait of Jinnah from AMU, Parliament, and Bombay High Court, but PM Modi never replied.

Earlier this week, coalition partners released a list of candidates who were contesting 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly. Elections will be held in three phases from October 28 in Bihar and the results will be announced on November 10.
