Bhumi Pednekar pours her heart out on father’s death anniversary



New Delhi: Actress Bhumi Pednekar has penned an emotional note to remember her late father, Satish Motiram Pednekar. She took to her Instagram handle to share her late father’s picture on his tenth death anniversary. Bhumi wrote, “Satish Motiram Pednekar Forever Papa … 10 years ago we lost you and yet we feel your presence in everything we do. I see you in samu and I hear you in everything that mom has to say. I see you when I talk, when I crack a joke or have my few moments of wisdom. You’ve left a void that nothing can fill, yet we feel so lucky have had the years we had with you. A life full of memories and teachings that have made us who we are…. #PednekarGirls #SatishPednekar #daddysgirl.” Bollywood celebrities sent love to Bhumi in the comments section. Bhumi lost her father to cancer a decade ago. The actor was just 18 years old while her sister Samiksha was 15 when her mother took command of the family. In an interview, she said “We were quite young. I was 18, Samiksha was probably 15 when we lost our dad due to cancer. We saw him through prolonged sickness and really suffer a lot. Obviously, losing a parent is never easy and I had a wonderful father. He was just a father. We miss him every day but my mom is made of something else, she really got us together. I think just us as a family, we went into warrior mode post tha”,

Talking about Bhumi’s filmography career, she made her acting debut opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in the 2015 film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. She acted in many acclaimed films like Bala, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Sonchiriya and more. She will be next seen in Badhaai Do. The actress recently wrapped up the film’s shoot. Badhaai Do, which is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role.
