BHU has postponed offline classes due to increasing number of corona cases in UP

New Delhi: In this corona situation, Banaras Hindu University has postponed offline classes with immediate effect, taking precautions. Corona virus cases are increasing rapidly in UP.  

BHU has said in its decision that the offline class is being discontinued till further orders. Apart from this, it has been decided to pre-schedule the Holi holidays. Under this, the Holi holidays will start from today i.e. March 23, 2021. At the same time, all classes for semester classes will now be conducted online till further notice.

This decision has been taken in the recently held meeting organized on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor’s chairmanship. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Coordinator of hostels, Students, Dean of Students, Chief Proctor, and other senior officers of the University. During this period, the status of increasing COVID-19 cases in hostels was reviewed.

According to the official information released after this, the Holi holidays will now start from March 23, 2021, and offline classes will be suspended till further orders. Apart from this, classes of all classes of students will be conducted in online mode till further notice.

The university has advised the students that they can take their books home so that their studies are not affected. Apart from this, the university also indicated conducting examinations in online mode. According to the notice issued by the university, if the circumstances become such, then online examinations can be conducted.
