Bengal will always choose development, unity over propaganda, hate politics: WB CM after TMC bypoll win

The result of the by-election held in four constituencies of the state were declared on Tuesday and the Mamata Banerjee-led party has won all of them.

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress recorded a resounding victory in the recently held West Bengal by-poll 2021. The result of the by-election held in four constituencies of the state were declared on Tuesday and the Mamata Banerjee-led party has won all of them.

By-poll were held in Dinhata, Santipur, Khardaha, and Gosaba seats on October 30. 

In Dinhata, TMC won by a margin of 1,64,089 votes, while Santipur seat was won by the party with a margin of 64,675 votes.

The ruling Trinamool Congress has won Khardaha and Gosaba seats with a margin of 93,832 and 1,43,051 votes. 

Trinamool’s Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, who vacated Bhabanipur assembly seat for Mamata Banerjee, won Khardaha constituency with more than 93,000 votes. 

Udayan Guha won Dinhata assembly constituency with a margin of 1,63,005 votes. 

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee congratulated all the four winning candidates. She said the victory shows how Bengal will always choose development and unity over “propaganda and hate politics”.

In Dinhata and Santipur seats, the by-poll was necessitated after winning candidates from BJP, Nisith Pramanik and Jagannath Sarkar, chose not to take oath in order to remain in the Parliament.

The Gosaba and Khardaha seats fell vacant after the winning Trinamool candidates passed away.
