Bank Holidays in November: The RBI has declared holidays on November 1,8,11, and 23 apart from the second Saturday, Sunday. Banks in India are closed on the occasion of Kannada rajyotsava/Kut, Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartika Purnima/Rahas Purnima, Kanakadasa Jayanthi/Wangala Festival and Seng Kutsnem

Many commercial and public sector banks will be closed for fewer days in November. Banks will be closed for up to 10 days in November, which includes the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays, as the most of the holiday days have passed.

Besides the second Saturday, Sunday, the RBI has announced holidays on November 1,8,11, and 23.

November 1, 2022 (Tuesday) – Kannada rajyotsava/Kut: banks are closed in Karnataka, Manipur.

Every year on November 1, the state of Karnataka observes Kannada Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka Formation Day or Karnataka Day.

On November 1, Chavang Kut is observed in remembrance of the deity’s annual blessings for a bountiful harvest.

November 8, 2022 (Tuesday)-Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartika Purnima/Rahas Purnima: Banks are not closed in tripura, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Kerala, Goa, Bihar and Meghalaya. Other states remain closed.

Gurpurab is the more well-known name for Guru Nanak Jayanti. The founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev, was born on this day in the year 1469 on Karthik Purnima (the first full moon in November or December), and it is commemorated as his birthday. November 8 falls on this year’s calendar as the first Sikh Guru’s 552nd birthday.

November 11, 2022 (Friday)-Kanakadasa Jayanthi/Wangala Festival: Banks are closed in Karnataka, Meghalaya.

November 23, 2022 (Wednesday)-Seng Kutsnem or Seng Kut Snem: Banks are closed in Meghalaya.

On November 23, 2022, Seng Kutsnem, all banks in Meghalaya are closed. The day before Khasi New Year, which is a customary event observed by the Khasi Community in Meghalaya on November 23 of every year, is Seng Kut Snem.
