Babil Khan finds his childhood memory in Irrfan Khan’s cupboard, pens down an emotional quote

New Delhi: Babil Khan, the son of Irrfan Khan is very active on social media. His Instagram account is a box filled with memories of the late actor. He keeps sharing priceless memories of his father on Instagram. Babil on Tuesday, took to his Instagram handle to share a video where he is seen giving a peek into his father’s acting notes from his National School of Drama (NSD) days. The aspiring young actor called it the Book of Eli.

Babil Khan revealed that the video is of the diary he had gifted Irrfan when he was 12 and written, “To the greatest Dad” on it. Irrfan used the diary to take down notes on acting. Babil wrote, “I just found this book in Baba’s cupboard that I had given him when I was like 12 (he used to hate it when I used to call him ‘Dad’ but whilst puberty global westernisation was beginning to ripen) He had been writing notes on acting for me in it that I think he was going to teach me after film school, so I guess I have just found the ‘Book of Eli’. I’ll share with you the first few notes cause I want you to think I’m nice (sic).” He then added the notes, “1. The intent – general but specific emotion like displacement, if you are unable to identify with a specific situation. 2. The text is holy in context eg. the woman in the man, self-pity, sexual politics etc. 3. Follow the action of the text sincerely and the required emotion will arise – the intention of the lines are to tell a story and not to pass information. 4. Drama has to be created, it cannot be represented or portrayed like a fact (sic).” Babil concluded the post, “If you don’t understand some things, welcome to the club :* (I’m here feeling like I’m decrypting hyroglifics from scratch. The rest is SO confusing, can’t even ask him.) (sic).”Babil’s followers showered him with love and support

Earlier Babil treated Irrfan’s fans with a rare photo of his parents from a play and a selfie they clicked together. He took to his Instagram and shared a black and white photo of his parents Irrfan and Sutapa Sikdar, enacting on stage, during what appears to be a scene from a play, at the National School of Drama, New Delhi. Babil also shared another picture taken by the couple in which they can be seen posing together for a selfie against an audience.”Mamma and baba in NSD cut to mamma and baba 35 years later,” he captioned the picture.
