New Delhi: The Delhi government, under the able leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has begun the City Lake project, which will convert garbage dumps into breathing ponds and lakes. In keeping with this dream, a new lake has been built on the seven-acres land in Dwarka. This waste-laden land has been converted into a waterbody. People are visibly pleased with the lake’s beauty, and have been sharing multiple photos on social media, applauding the efforts of the Arvind Kejriwal government.

Delhi residents have appreciated the lake revival efforts of the Arvind Kejriwal government and are sharing their joy by sharing photos with one and all. They appear pleased with the fact that the Delhi government has successfully converted a wasteland into a living waterbody. The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has built the new lake in Dwarka, covering an area of more than 7 acres. Built under the City Lake Project in Dwarka, this lake has helped recharge the water level by adding 50 lakh liters of water daily for the last three months.

AAP MLA Mukesh Ahlawat has written on social media that the lake has been readied within seven (7) months. The Delhi Jal Board has given Dwarka a new lake spread over seven acres in a short span of time. The Delhi government is reviving 600 water bodies, which had thus far become a place to dump garbage. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is making Delhi a ‘city of lakes’.
201 water bodies to be rejuvenated
The Arvind Kejriwal government had decided to rejuvenate 201 water bodies in 2019. Under this, DJB was entrusted with reviving 155 water bodies.
