New Delhi: The BJP youth leader who was arrested in Bengal’s capital city Kolkata on Saturday after police caught her carrying 100 gm of cocaine has now been sent to the police remand till February 25 by the NDPS court.
Goswami has claimed that she has been framed by BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya’s aide Rakesh Singh. Vijayvargiya is also BJP’s in-charge of election-bound West Bengal. Alleging that she has been wrongly accused, Pamela has demanded a probe by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
“I have been framed. I have evidence. Rakesh Singh who is close to (BJP general secretary and party’s Bengal in-charge) Kailash Vijayvargiya should be arrested. This is his conspiracy. I want the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) and detective department to investigate,” the 23-year-old state secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) shouted before being presented to the court.
Even during the hearing in NDPS court, Pamela demanded the arrest of Rakesh Singh while alleging that he had sent a man to put pouches. Pamela said that the Detective Department (DD) or the Crime Investigation Department (CID) should look into the matter.
Meanwhile, Vijayvargiya has sidelined himself from the matter saying he has no knowledge abut it. “We believe in the judicial system. If someone has done something wrong, law will take its course. I don’t know about it at all. But yes, in the past, many of our leaders have been falsely frames in the NDPS cases too.”
Goswami was arrested with a friend Prabir Kumar Dey and her personal security guard from South Kolkata’s New Alipore area on Friday.
