New Delhi: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has been receiving many setbacks one after the other ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections.
On Friday, TMC MP Dinesh Trivedi resigned from the Rajya Sabha. He resigned during the discussion on the budget.
“I am feeling suffocated and I am taking a decision in the interest of the country. The way violence is happening in West Bengal, I feel very awkward sitting here,” Dinesh Trivedi said.
It is noteworthy that Dinesh Trivedi was the Railway Minister from July 3, 2011 to March 18, 2012 in the Manmohan Singh government. He is considered one of the tallest leaders of the TMC.
