New Delhi: Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to inform the news of his brother Anil Devgan’s untimely demise. The Tanhaji actor shared that his brother passed away last night, leaving his family heartbroken.
Ajay also informed that his family will not be organising a prayer meet due to coronavirus pandemic.
“I lost my brother Anil Devgan last night. His untimely demise has left our family heartbroken. ADFF & I will miss his presence dearly. Pray for his soul. Due to the pandemic, we will not have a personal prayer meet,” he said in a tweet.
As soon as Ajay posted the heartbreaking news, his friends and colleagues from the industry extended condolences. Abhishek Bachchan, Casting director Mukesh Chhabra among other prayed for the lost soul.
Anil Devgan is the son of Prem Prakash Devgan and cousin brother of Ajay Devgn.
Anil Devgan was a part of Ajay Devgn’s production house, Ajay Devgn FFilms. He first started off as an assistant director with ‘Jeet’ in 1996.He had directed Ajay’s films like ‘Raju Chacha’ and ‘Blackmail’. He was also involved in the creative direction of Ajay’s film ‘Son of Sardaar’.
