After Rajasthan, Bharat Jodo Yatra starts in Haryana

New Delhi: The Bharat Jodo Yatra on Wednesday started from Patan Udaipur village in Nuh district of Haryana. The Congress’ footmarch completed its Rajasthan leg on December 20.

The Congress chief of Rajasthan unit Govind Singh Dotasra handed over the national flag to his Haryana counterpart Udai Bhan. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will furl the national flag in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir to mark the end of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi led the yatra through Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and now Haryana.

Earlier, Congress leader KC Venugopal said, “Bharat Jodo Yatra’s biggest achievement is that issues of the common people of the country have been highlighted through it,” quoted the news agency PTI.

He further said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) attempt of demolishing his (Gandhi’s) image has also been destroyed by us.”
