Adele reunited with her teacher on stage during the An Audience with Adele concert special. It was the singer’s first concert in UK in four years.

London: Teachers are undoubtedly one of our biggest inspirations in life. They not only teach us valuable information from text books but also impart knowledge that helps us in life and become better persons and citizens of society. It seems that popular British singer Adele too feels the same way. The Skyfall singer reportedly gifted her high school teacher tickets worth approximately Rs. 50,000 so that she can watch her perform live in Hyde Park.

As per reports, Adele reunited with her teacher on stage during the An Audience with Adele concert special. It was the singer’s first concert in UK in four years.

According to a report by The Sun, when actress Emma Thompson had asked Adele who inspired her only for her old English teacher Ms McDonald to appear in front of her. The Hello singer was in tears seeing her teacher before her. It seems that the incident has left quite the mark on the 33-year-old singer who offered her former teacher and her family diamond package tickets to watch her perform next July.

A source told the publication that Ms McDonald touched the hearts of everyone who watched, but most of all she touched the heart of Adele, so much so that she made her team get in touch with her teacher so that the singer could reach out to her again.

This resulted in the singer gifting her teacher the amazing ticket package which many would surely be vying for.

“Adele wants to make sure she and her family have the best time ever and wants nothing more than to treat Ms McDonald,” the source was quoted as saying.

During the show, the singer had opened up about the impact the teacher had on her, following which the host had revealed she was actually in the audience.

 

Calling Ms McDonald “bloody cool”, the singer had revealed she had only got her for a year in standard eight but it was she who got her into literature, adding, “I’ve always been obsessed with English and obviously now I write lyrics.”
